Integrated Support Specialist (Central Region NE)

- Serve as the NeMTSS connector, developing and implementing a more comprehensive approach to education and service delivery.
- Connect regional providers, such as Early Learning Coordinators, ASD Network BCBAs, ESU Literacy Coaches, etc., with educational agencies needing their support.
- In partnership with the NeMTSS Regional Support Leads and Leadership Team, provide support on-site and virtually to PK-12 educators to build local capacity.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to identify and plan for the implementation of high-leverage practices to enhance PK-12 student development.
- The Integrated Support Specialists play a key role in promoting positive outcomes for Nebraska children, families, educators, districts, schools, and programs.

Additional Information
$64,000/yr minimum
Minimum required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, psychology, child development, or related field and five (5) years of experience in education, working with PreK-12 educators, and/or in school district leadership. Experience which demonstrates high-level decisions impacting team policies and practices. Demonstrated experience implementing high-leverage instructional practices (HLPs) teaching students with special needs. Knowledge of Nebraska school systems. Independent problem-solving skills, data analysis skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong background in literacy and/or positive behavioral supports; knowledge of inclusionary instructional practices. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and ability to keep accurate records. Demonstrated customer/client service skills. Ability to use word-processing and presentation software.
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet university driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work, education, psychology, child development, or related field. Experience supervising staff; leading PK-12 educators in implementing high-leverage instructional practices (HLPs); delivering training/professional development to educators. Experience with and/or knowledge of adult learning or educational coaching. Strategic planning experience.
