In 2026, the Nebraska Legislature passed LB937. These provisions are found in Neb. Rev. Stat. § 79-880. Beginning with the 2027-2028 school year, schools have additional hiring obligations. Pursuant to § 79-880(10), NDE has a duty to post website guidance documents and informational materials for applicants and employers. These guidance documents and informational materials are currently under development.
