4th Grade Teacher

 

The St. Pius X / St. Leo school community is currently accepting applications for a 4th grade teaching position for the 2024-25 school year. The position will require that the teacher plans for, teaches and facilitates learning for students and creates a positive learning environment. The teacher will provide interventions and accommodations to support the students’ participation and progress in the general curriculum. The teacher will also maintain academic progress and records for students while also working collaboratively with students, parents, building staff, and other Individual Education Program (IEP) and Student Assistance Team (SAT) members to provide and implement IEP services to meet the needs of individual students.

The teacher will work daily in a Catholic, faith-filled environment to form and develop students. The teacher must also set high classroom expectations in all areas, develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long-term scope and sequence aligned to the Archdiocese curriculum and in collaboration with other grade level and specialty teachers.The teacher must be able to use a variety of rigorous formative and summative assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of students while setting and reinforcing clear expectations and routines that align to school-wide values and policies.

Additional Information

 

A valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Provisional Nebraska Teaching Certificate with a Bachelor’s degree in Education from an accredited college or university. Applicants must also complete a background check and the Archdiocese of Omaha required Safe Environment training.
