Elementary School Counselor
Yutan Public Schools is accepting applications for an Elementary School Counselor for the 2025-26 school year. Yutan is a community of 1,400 located just 15 minutes west of the Omaha metro area on Highway 92 in Saunders county. Grades K-6 enrollment is 251, with a total PK-12 enrollment of 487. The Chieftains compete in class C-2 NSAA activities and are members of the Nebraska Capitol Conference. Yutan has a caring and engaged staff, exceptional academic and assessment performance, a proud tradition of activity and athletic excellence, and a supportive community. We are seeking an individual to join our team who is dedicated to fostering student success in academics, who supports student social-emotional growth, and has the capacity to build connections with students, staff, and parents in a positive and professional manner.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work with a wide range of students and provide developmentally appropriate and preventative support, lessons, and guidance with students in large groups, small groups, or individual settings, as well as working through challenging situations.

Applicants must possess a Masters Degree in Counseling and Nebraska Teaching Certificate with a School Counselor endorsement. Base salary for 2024-25 is $38,970. This position includes a 10-day extended contract. All years of experience at accredited schools are accepted. The district pays 100% of the premium for individual or full-family health insurance.
