Middle School English Language Arts Teacher – York Middle School

York Public Schools is accepting applications for a Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher at York Middle School. We are looking for an enthusiastic, student-centered educator who is passionate about literacy, writing, and helping students grow as confident communicators.

Position Details:

• Full-time, certified teaching position (Grades 6–8)

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering engaging instruction in reading, writing, vocabulary, and language skills
• Using data to guide instruction and support student growth
• Collaborating with the ELA team and grade-level teams
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Communicating effectively with students, families, and staff

Qualifications:

• Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain) with the appropriate endorsement for Middle Grades or ELA
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Passion for literacy and working with middle school students
• Experience with middle-level learners preferred
