York Public Schools is accepting applications for an 8th Grade Science Teacher at York Middle School. We are seeking a passionate, student-centered educator who is committed to engaging students in scientific inquiry and critical thinking.

Position Details:

• Full-time, certified teaching position (Grade 8)
• Start Date: August 2026

Teaching Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering engaging instruction aligned to science standards
• Creating hands-on learning experiences and labs
• Using data to guide instruction and support student growth
• Collaborating with grade-level and content-area teams
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Coaching Opportunities Available:

• Head Boys Basketball
• Assistant Cross Country

Qualifications:

• Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain) with appropriate endorsement
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and families
• Coaching experience preferred for coaching roles but not required
