High School Counselor – York High School
York Public Schools is accepting applications for a High School Counselor at York High School. We are seeking a caring, collaborative, and student-centered professional dedicated to supporting students’ academic planning, social-emotional well-being, and postsecondary success.
Position Details:
- Full-time, certified position (Grades 9–12)
- Start Date: August 2026

Responsibilities Include:
- Academic advising and scheduling support
- College and career readiness guidance
- Social-emotional support and crisis intervention
- Coordination of testing programs (ACT, state assessments, etc.)
- Collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
Qualifications:
- Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with School Counselor endorsement (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Experience with academic planning and student support services preferred
