Elementary Teacher
Wood River Elementary School is accepting applications for a general education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants should be motivated, goal oriented, and passionate about education. Wood River Elementary, located between the tri cities of Grand Island, Hastings, and Kearney, serves students PK through 5th grade and is part of the Wood River Rural Schools district. Wood River Rural Schools is a progressive 1:1 district with outstanding facilities and strong support from the community. Typical class sizes range from 14-20 students.

We accept all previous years’ teaching experience and master’s hours, in addition to the base salary of $41,250, and offer full family health insurance, among other benefits. Additional coaching responsibilities are available but not required.
The community is very supportive of the school, with an active PTO. Wood River Rural Elementary School is located between the tri-cities of Grand Island, Hastings, and Kearney. Yearlong access to community fitness center. A $5.5 million Water Park is located across from the school, as well as the Stick Creek Childcare Center in town.
