High Ability Learner (HAL) teacher/ASP Coordinator
Wood River Rural Schools is accepting applications for a 4-12 High Ability teacher/Elementary After School Program (ASP) Coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year. Applicants should have a current Nebraska teaching certificate or be able to acquire one and be creative, highly organized, goal oriented, and passionate about education. The position involves teaching high ability learners at both the elementary and high school buildings and organizing and running the after school program. ASP responsibilities include planning and coordinating activities with community partners, hiring and supervising ASP workers, communicating with parents and staff regarding student schedules and needs, and maintaining necessary documentation for grant purposes. Hours would be from 10am-6 pm.
Wood River Rural Schools, located between the tri cities of Grand Island, Hastings, and Kearney, includes two separate campuses: a PK-5 elementary building and a 6-12 middle school/high school. Wood River Rural Schools is a progressive 1:1 district with outstanding facilities and strong support from the community. We accept all previous years teaching experience and master hours while offering full family health insurance among other benefits in addition to the base salary of $37,050.
