6-12 Guidance Counselor

Wausa Public Schools is seeking applicants for our 6-12 Guidance Counselor Position starting in the 2024-25 school year. This position will be primarily responsible for providing guidance services for our middle/high school, including (but not limited to) scheduling students, working with teaching staff on assessment results  (ACT/MAPS, NSCAS, etc.) and working with our mental health and crisis teams. Wausa Public Schools is a class D1 sized school located in Wausa NE, conveniently located 39 miles from Norfolk, NE and 35 miles from Yankton, SD. Wausa Public Schools recently completed a 4.5 million dollar construction project, and we are very proud of our new school building. Wausa is a very progressive school, with supportive administration and strong community support. Other positions sponsorships include coaching football and basketball, as well as track and field and cross country may be available but are not required.
