Sign Language Interpreter
Wahoo Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Sign Language Interpreter for the 2026-27 school year. This role involves interpreting classroom instruction, meetings, and school activities while also reinforcing lessons. The interpreter collaborates with teachers and specialists to implement IEP accommodations, assists with orientations about deafness and sign language, and helps ensure the functional use of hearing devices. The position requires professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Applicants must meet the competency levels as defined in Nebraska State Statute, Rule 51.

The community of Wahoo is ideally located, just 25 miles west of Omaha and 25 miles north of Lincoln. The anticipated start date for this position is August 1, 2026. This position will remain open until filled.
