Activities Director / Teacher

Thayer Central is seeking an individual to serve in the role of Activities Director for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a new position in the district and will include a half-time teaching assignment as well. Individuals interested in this position with a valid Nebraska certificate are encouraged to apply, all K-12 endorsement areas will be considered. 

The AD will oversee all district activities and scheduling of events and district facilities. The individual will work closely with the administrative team to supervise, evaluate, and provide leadership and direction to all district activities and their sponsors. An administrative endorsement is preferred, but is not required for this position. 

Thayer Central is a PK-12 district (NSAA Class C-2 or D-1) with approximately 450 students. The school is located in the town of Hebron and also includes Chester, Hubbell, Byron, Belvidere and Gilead located in the south central part of Nebraska. 

The school is equipped with new and renovated facilities that will all open in the 22-23 school year. Updates include a new gymnasium, new and renovated classrooms in the elementary and secondary, new offices, and many other updates.
