Multi-Grade Teacher
The teacher will work in partnership with parents, congregation, and school to provide a Christ-centered education grounded in God’s Word and Lutheran doctrine. The teacher supports the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development of each student in accordance with the school’s and congregation’s mission.
Responsibilities Include:
- Teaching a multi-grade self-contained classroom
- Modeling Christ-centered living
- Maintaining a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
- Assessing and documenting student progress in accordance with school policies and Nebraska academic expectations
- Communicating effectively with parents, faculty, and administration
- Supporting chapel services, school activities, and congregational ministries
- Participating in faculty meetings, professional development, and school improvement efforts
Qualifications:
- A valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or eligibility for Nebraska certification
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Active member of an LCMS congregation or willingness to join
- Commitment to Lutheran doctrine and the mission of Lutheran education
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small-school, ministry-focused setting

Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.

St. John’s Lutheran School is a Nebraska State Approved and National Lutheran Accredited School located 12.5 miles North of Columbus from 48th Avenue, or 6.5 miles South of Creston from the corner of Hwy. 91 and 205th Avenue.
