Preschool Assistant Teacher

St. John Early Learning Center in Battle Creek, NE is looking for a preschool assistant teacher to join our team. We are located on 301 S 2nd St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.

Responsibilities
*Support assigned classrooms, may vary dependent on need.
*Assist children with participating in games, reading with children and teaching them simple, fun and enriching activities.
*Assist lead teacher with day-to-day activities.
*Assist in preparing and serving food, and cleaning areas to ensure clean, sanitary conditions and to meet standards.
*Spend time outdoors with children.
*Help maintain minimal daily paperwork.
*Communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with students, their parents, and other staff.
*Provide quality, nurturing care to children enrolled in the program.
*Assist students with diapering and potty training when necessary.
*Attend in-service training required by licensing and the program.

Qualifications

Early childhood education or prior work in a childcare or school preferred. Willing to train the right individual. Must have open availability.
