Instructional Technology Leader

The South Sioux City Community School District is currently accepting applications for an Instructional Technology Leader.   Assignment will include responsibilities within the IT department, with concentrated focus of supporting District technology implementation and integration through interaction and collaboration with staff.  Primary day to day responsibilities will serve the secondary level campus.   Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with administrators, teachers and staff to ensure technology is used in classroom instruction.
    • This may include facilitation of the following types of technology based instructional platform or devices:
      • Chromebooks
      • GoogleDocs
      • Blogs and Wikis
      • Virtual Field Trips
      • Learning Management System
      • BlendEd/multi-media–helping staff create interactive material and presentation
      • Audio/Video–helping setup equipment and help staff create and/or use to supplement instruction.
  • Modeling technology/resources in the classroom to help teachers develop and integrate effective instructional practices.
  • Providing staff with information on various forms of available professional development/technology related resources.

Additional Information

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.   Demonstrated experience with the use of GoogleDocs, BlendEd is preferred. NE Administrative/Teaching Certificate is not required for this assignment.
