School Nurse

Shelby-Rising City Schools is looking for a full-time nurse, with RN certification, starting August 1, 2020.  The position will have a 200-day contract, salaried/exempt, starting August 1 through May 31 with the schedule set by the Administration.  Applicants must attend all trainings and school nurse requirements as set forth by the Nebraska Department of Education.  The position is a 10-month professional employee.  Responsibilities will include all student health testing, managing student health plans, participating in collaborative meetings, District contact with the health care industry, ability to deal with a variety of student and adult health issues, chair the Emergency Response Team, ensuring all students have required health paperwork/shots/physicals completed, and daily assessment of student health.  Applicants certified to instruct CPR and First Aid and holding additional certification like EMT will be strongly considered.

Additional Information

Wage Range: $40,000 to $45,000 (Salaried/Professional/Exempt)

Benefits: Full Single Health/Dental or Single + 1 Health/Dental (District Plan includes an HSA Option)

Leave Benefits:  Accumulate 1 paid leave day per month of employment, maximum of 10 per year.  Six paid holidays.
