High School Science Teacher

Due to retirement, Shelby-Rising City Schools is looking for a High School Science Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.  Course load is to be determined by experience and demonstrated strengths.  Applicants must possess or will possess a Nebraska Teacher Certificate prior to the start of next school year.   The District is a 1-to-1 digital device district who utilizes the Marzano Instructional model for all grades.  The science department has access to a new lab built in 2017 and each teacher also has an independent classroom equipped with an interactive whiteboard to support the 1-to-1 laptop program each student uses.

Additional duties are available, including Activities/Athletic Director, Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator, or Dean of Students.  Coaching and sponsorship opportunities are available, including Head HS Track Coach.  Please indicate your interest in any of these areas on your application.

Shelby is located 20 miles south of Columbus and within one hour of both Omaha and Lincoln.  The area possess great opportunities for both individuals and families.

Starting Date:  Approximately August 12, 2019 (185 Day Contract)

Salary: Based on schedule placement of experience and education, base salary is $36,000
