We are seeking a dynamic, student-focused instructional leader.  The successful candidate must demonstrate educational leadership, interpersonal skills, management capacity, fiscal responsibility, and analytical skills.

 

The Principal serves as the educational leader, with a Special Education background and certification desired, who is responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures of the District to prepare students to be productive, responsible citizens in a safe, caring, supportive learning environment. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Principal work collaboratively to lead and nurture all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with parents, members of the community, and colleagues in other schools.

  • Must qualify for Nebraska Administrative Certification with Elementary Principal Endorsement.
  • Successful administrative/leadership experience desired

The Shelby-Rising City Public Schools is a rural, Class III District, with a PK-12 building located in Shelby, Nebraska. The Shelby and Rising City Districts consolidated prior to the 2011-2012 school year. Shelby is a town of 714, located in eastern Polk County. Rising City is a town of 396, located in western Butler County. The major industry in the area is agriculture. The district has an enrollment of over 400 students in grades PK-12.
