6-12 Industrial Tech / Career Ready Instructor
Shelby-Rising City Public Schools is currently accepting applications for our 6-12 Industrial Tech Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. SRC is a progressive, growing district that supports 410 students (196 for 6-12), boasts strong community support and excellent facilities. We have a progressive school board who wants what is best for our staff, students and district.
SRC is seeking a qualified candidate for a 6-12 Industrial Technology Teacher who is an individual that is creative, innovative, positive, and has a passion for Industrial Technology who wants to be a part of a strong school district, and has the personality to impact the education of students. Courses taught will take into account the skills and education of the successful candidate but could include Woods I and II, basic construction, carpentry, welding, small engine mechanics, and Laser technology but open to ideas on how to continue to push trade skills for our students to be the most prepared they can be. The successful candidate must hold a valid State of Nebraska Teaching Certificate in the area of Industrial Technology.
The District offers paid family health/dental insurance and flexible leave. We are a 1:1 Digital Device school with Chromebooks and continues to support progressive and innovative teaching practices. Teachers are provided a MacBook Air Laptop and ample instructional resources in the classroom. We are double tracked through our PK-5 and each classroom ranges from 14-18 students in each. Our MS/HS average around 30 students in each class. We have a strong community support, a growing economic area, and steady enrollment. The new school facilities were completed in 2017.

- $39,500 base salary
- August 8th, 2025 start date (185 contract days)
- 11 PTO days given each year (30 days in sick bank carry over)
- All years and experience from previous districts carry over
