Due to professional advancement, SEM Public Schools is accepting applications for the position of PreK-12 Principal for the 2022-23 school year. SEM is a D-1/2 school district located in south-central Nebraska approximately 30 miles west of Kearney, NE with an enrollment of 225 students in grades PK-12. The district operates its own Pre-Kindergarten Learning Facility that offers a certified staff and trained staff for children ages 3 and 4. Our pre-school operates on the same calendar and schedule as the elementary, with options of full or half time classes. The school has a tradition of academic excellence, enjoys strong community support, and has established a positive, caring, and connected environment.
The district is seeking candidates who possess competencies for working with staff, students, and parents in a collaborative, professional, and student-centered manner. The successful candidate will exhibit leadership aptitudes, have experiences as an instructional leader, have strong organizational abilities, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and be adept at using and integrating technology in academic programming and general school operations.
The district offers a competitive salary and full-family, district-paid BC/BS $1050/$3800 health insurance plan. In addition, the district provides dental, vision and term life insurance. The administrative contract is a 210-day contract with an anticipated start date mid-July 2022. Candidates must possess or be eligible for a Nebraska Administrative Certificate with administrative endorsements as required by the Nebraska Department of Education.
