Secondary Principal 7-12
Job Description: Morrill Public Schools is currently seeking candidates for the position of Secondary Principal for Grades 7-12. The successful candidate will serve as the chief academic administrator of the secondary school, playing a crucial role in both leadership and management capacities. The Secondary Principal will oversee all academic-related activities within the secondary school, ensuring devotion to educational standards and fostering an environment conducive to student success.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher
- Possession of a Nebraska Administrative and Supervisory Certificate at all times during employment
- Endorsements as required by NDE Rule 10 and any other necessary certifications and training
- Demonstrated experience in educational leadership, preferably within a secondary school setting
- Strong understanding of academic standards and curriculum development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of educators towards achieving academic excellence
- Sound decision-making abilities with a focus on student-centered outcomes
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in all aspects of secondary school operations, including academic programs, staff development, student services, and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, students, and parents to develop and implement educational goals and initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state and district educational standards, policies, and procedures
- Supervise and evaluate teaching staff to maintain high standards of instruction and professional development
- Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
- Foster a positive and inclusive school climate conducive to academic achievement and personal growth
- Manage budgetary and resource allocation processes at the building level to support academic programs and student needs
- Serve as a liaison between the school, district administration, and community stakeholders
- Handle disciplinary matters and student welfare issues in accordance with school policies and regulations
