Counselor – Gross Catholic

Duties and Responsibilities

Gross Catholic is searching for a High School Counselor.  Successful candidates must be able to assist students with academic schedules, support students’ social/emotional needs, and work with students to plan for their future.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Commitment to the mission of Gross Catholic High School

  • Strong rapport with students, parents, teachers, and staff

  • Counsel students to fully develop each student’s academic, career, personal and social abilities

  • Help host events such as, but not limited to, freshmen parent information nights, back to school night, open house, career day and Pre-ACT testing day.

  • Openness to participate in a student-centered, family- and faith-oriented community

  • Experience with and desire to engage in extracurricular activities, coaching, or moderating clubs and activities

Additional Information

Education and Experience

  • A master’s degree in school counseling with Nebraska certification or the ability to obtain the appropriate certification by August 1st, 2024

  • Experience in high school counseling is preferred, but not required
