Fine Arts High School Teacher

Riverside Public School (consolidated district of Cedar Rapids and Spalding Public) is accepting applications for a high school Fine Arts instructor beginning August 2020. Applicant must have or be able to obtain a current Nebraska teaching certificate with a music OR art endorsement. Primary duties will be teaching 9-12 music or art classes with an opportunity to teach ELA or Social Science classes as well. High School and middle school coaching are also available with this position.

Riverside High School is located in Cedar Rapids, NE with a projected enrollment of 58 students in grades 9-12. The district has a 1:1 Chromebook initiative for 9-12 students and provides a progressive, 21st Century educational environment where staff works collaboratively to maximize student learning. Base pay for the 2020-21 school year will be $35,850. Teachers new to the district will receive an additional 6 days paid at per diem rate 1/184 of their contracted salary. A $2,000 hiring bonus is also available and paid after completion of the first semester. The district provides full, family health insurance to all full-time, certified teachers as well as a single dental plan. A 125 Cafeteria Plan and employee-paid vision insurance are also available.
