Elementary resource teacher
Under the general supervision of the school principal, to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs in academics, interpersonal skills, behaviors, and/or activities of daily living by implementing the district’s approved elementary curriculum. Special education teachers document student progress, activities and outcomes; address students’ specific needs; provide a safe and optimal learning environment; and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals as required by the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
This is a full-time position for the 2019-2020 school year with a start date of August, 2019.
The successful candidate must possess, or be eligible for, a Nebraska teaching certificate with an endorsement in K-6 or K-12 mild/moderate disabilities.
