High School Mathematics Teacher
Quest Forward Academy (www.questforward.academy) is a new kind of high school located on the campus of Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE. Taking a student-centric, project-based, and skills-forward approach to learning, we seek to instill in our students the mindset, habits, and skills that will prepare them for success in future learning, in career, and in life itself.
We are seeking teachers who see themselves as mentors, dedicated to student personal growth, and who serve as joyful facilitators of student-driven inquiry. Quest Forward Academy seeks to innovate across the spectrum of learning from schedule, to calendar, to the nature of activity within the classroom. We are seeking a mathematics mentor for students in grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will have:
● Teaching experience in grades 9-12
● Willingness to experiment and try new methods and approaches
● Comfort with innovative classroom environments
● Experience with project-based and problem-based learning
● Facility and comfort with technology
Candidates with experience or training in more than one subject and an ability to teach in multiple subjects are highly desirable. Ability to speak Spanish is also desirable. Applicants should hold, or be able to obtain, a Nebraska teaching certificate.
