Quest Forward Academy (www.questforward.academy) is a new kind of high school located on the campus of Bellevue University. Taking a student-centric, project-based approach to learning, we seek to instill in our students the mindset, habits, and skills that will prepare them for success in future learning, in career, and in life itself.
We are seeking teachers who see themselves as mentors, dedicated to student personal growth, and wishing to serve as joyful facilitators of student-driven inquiry. We are seeking an English instructor for students in grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will have:
· Teaching experience in grades 9-12
· Willingness to experiment and try new methods and approaches
· Comfort with innovative classroom environments
· Experience with project-based and problem-based learning
· Facility and comfort with technology
· Current Nebraska Teaching Certificate
Candidates with experience or training in more than one subject and an ability to teach in multiple subjects (eg. English and Social Studies) are highly desirable. Ability to speak Spanish is also desirable. We are interested in both seasoned teaching professionals looking for something new and early career individuals looking to join something new and exciting.
Fall semester begins August 2019.
