Specialist – Cooperation BEST Facilitator – Papillion La Vista Community Schools – 2025-26 School Year

Description: The facilitator is a community liaison that will serve as the connecting link between the classroom and business community.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the district mission and curriculum with partnership activities
  • Support Superintendent’s Business Advisory
  • Work with the Chamber of Commerce and represents the district with other community entities.
  • Serve as the key communicator liaison with teachers, principals, community and business partners
  • Plan, develop and organize district level events
  • Coordinate activities that make the connection between curriculum and community/career opportunities
  • Coordinate activities for elementary summer school
  • Work with the district curriculum teams to develop meaningful activities that align with the district’s mission
  • Communicate and execute the Cooperation BEST activities and programs.
  • Recruit businesses to help meet the needs of each school
  • Evaluate and manage programs within buildings as developed
  • Facilitate, organize, student access to experiences and analyze data in regards to effectiveness of the business and school activities
  • Organize internship and externship opportunities for students

Additional Information

Qualifications: Teaching certificate preferred, but not required.  Must have at least five years of experience in education or the business community. Bachelor’s degree required.

Benefits: PLCS pays 100% of the healthcare premium for employee only PPO insurance plans and all high deductible plans. PLCS pays 93% of the premium for all other PPO plans. Through the Nebraska School Employees Retirement System 9.78% of the gross salary is deposited into a retirement account. The District matches the contribution at the rate of 101%.
