Head Start Education/Disabilities Coordinator

Summary: Under the supervision of the Head Start/Early Head Start Executive Director, the Education & Disabilities Coordinator oversees and directs the planning, organizing, and implementation of education and disabilities services for children in the Head Start program, according to the Head Start Federal Performance Standards. 

Education & Experience:  B.A. in early childhood education or child development; or a baccalaureate or advanced degree in related field, at least 18 credit hours in early childhood education and experience teaching preschool children. 5 years of more supervisory experience, and at least 5 years administrative experience preferred. Must have knowledge and experience in the philosophy and practices of Head Start, early childhood education and developmentally appropriate practice.
