High School Head Football Coach

Ogallala Public School is seeking a passionate and experienced Football Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of football, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and develop players to their fullest potential. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and leading players through all aspects of the game, from physical training to strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct football practice sessions.

  • Develop and implement strategies for games and tournaments.

  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive team environment.

  • Analyze and evaluate player performance to create individualized development plans.

  • Teach proper techniques, safety protocols, and sportsmanship.

  • Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure team goals are met.

  • Monitor players’ academic progress to ensure eligibility.

  • Organize and manage game-day logistics, including travel, equipment, and player schedules.

  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and administrators.

  • Attend and assist with team meetings, fundraising events, and community outreach activities.

Requirements:

 

  • Proven experience as a football coach or in a relevant role.

  • Strong knowledge of football rules, techniques, and strategies.

  • Ability to motivate and mentor athletes to reach their full potential.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
