Accounting/Business Instructor

The purpose of this position is to instruct classes and labs as assigned by the Dean and to develop new courses. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College.

Qualifications: Education

Work requires professional level of knowledge of a discipline equivalent to that which is acquired in a Masters degree-level of study.

Qualifications: Experience 

Over one year up to and including three years teaching experience required, preferably at a community college or postsecondary level.

Qualifications: Skills

Applicant should possess advanced oral and written communication skills; expertise in teaching Accounting; exceptional human relations and problem-solving skills; proficient computer skills and the ability to use new technology in the classroom; and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Applicants selected for an interview will be required to deliver a 15-20 minute teaching presentation.

Salary is based on the faculty salary schedule. This position is eligible for Northeast Community College’s excellent fringe benefits package. Cash-in-lieu of Health Insurance may be available depending upon successful candidate’s coverage enrollment.
