T&L Coordinator

Job Summary

The Teaching & Learning Coordinator (6–12) provides instructional leadership to enhance teaching quality and improve student achievement across grade levels. This role supports curriculum alignment, data-driven instruction, teacher development, and compliance with state and national education standards.

The Coordinator works collaboratively with school leadership, teachers, and support staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement, equity, and student-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities

 

Curriculum Leadership

Oversee development, implementation, and review of 6–12 curriculum;
Ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment across grade levels;
Align curriculum with state standards, national benchmarks, and accreditation requirements;
Support differentiated instruction strategies to meet diverse learner needs;
Guide integration of literacy, numeracy, and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) initiatives.

 

Instructional Coaching & Teaching Support

Coach teachers on instructional strategies, classroom management, and assessment practices;

Support new teacher induction and mentoring programs;

Model effective teaching strategies when appropriate;

Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).

 

Assessment & Data-Driven Improvement

Lead development of formative and summative assessment frameworks;

Analyze student performance data (standardized testing, benchmark assessments, internal exams);

Guide teachers in using data to inform instruction and intervention strategies;

Monitor progress toward school improvement goals.

 

Professional Development

Identify professional development needs based on school goals and teacher performance;

Plan and deliver workshops, in-service days, and training sessions;

Support implementation of instructional best practices (e.g., differentiated instruction,& inquiry-based learning);

Promote reflective teaching practices.

 

Student Achievement & Intervention Support

Collaborate with Special Education, ELL, and student support services teams;

Support MTSS/RTI frameworks;

Ensure equitable instructional practices across student groups;

Monitor intervention programs for effectiveness.

 

Compliance & Accreditation

Ensure instructional practices meet regulatory requirements;

Support accreditation reviews and school improvement planning;

Maintain curriculum documentation and reporting.

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Education; Masters in Educational Leadership or C&I

Valid teaching certification & Instructional leadership certification.

 

Experience:

5+ years successful K–12 teaching experience;

Experience in curriculum leadership, instructional coaching, or academic coordination preferred;

Familiarity with state standards and assessment frameworks.

Working Conditions:  Indoor-controlled environment. Commute from one building to another occasionally.

 

Hazards:  Stairs in some buildings.  Possibility of accidents while driving.
