Educator Apprenticeship Program Associate (Program Associate IV)

Join us as an Educator Apprenticeship Program Associate to provide support to program staff related to the State Apprenticeship Expansion Formula (SAEF) grant, including reporting data to provide accurate and timely information, coordinating meeting logistics, and answering basic inquiries from stakeholders.

The SAEF grant is designed to expand access to these programs to address urgent shortages in the K-12 teacher workforce and to build the necessary internal capacity, systems, and infrastructure for a successful statewide program. This position is fixed term, with an end date of June 30, 2025. This position may be extended subject to the continuation and availability of funding.

Office Location & Schedule: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains databases and spreadsheets to organize and disseminate data and information.
  • Performs administrative duties and accounting work including preparing, maintaining, and processing financial records and documents, and accounts receivable and payable in the State of Nebraska accounting system.
  • Coordinates logistics for meetings and workshops including travel, time, agenda, registration, equipment, invitees, food, lodging, and contracts as well as payments for vendors and participants.
  • Provides assistance to stakeholders related to the apprenticeship program and SAEF grant.
  • Maintains daily operations of the Apprenticeship program including answering phones, directing and answering inquiries, and coordinating the work of other Office Associates.
  • Demonstrates commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Working Conditions and Travel:

This position requires approximately 95% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 5% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as secondary and postsecondary schools, meetings, conferences, other state agencies, etc. There is also approximately one day of overnight travel per month.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

Preferred Qualifications: Postsecondary degree (or credential) in office management, administrative assistant, or related fields and experience assisting with grant or program management and basic accounting procedures. Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Teams.

Pay Rate:

$21.395/hour

This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.
