Secondary English Teacher (ELA)

Nebraska Christian Schools (NCS) is looking for a lead Language Arts educator who claims their faith to be in Jesus Christ. If you are a high quality ELA teaching candidate who values family and a balanced life this may be a fit for you. We are an accredited school offering a competitive wage and benefits. NCS holds a family and commuter friendly 4-day school week. The schedule, along with the staff and student climate, combine to make for an amazing teaching environment. This teacher will work closely with our other ELA teacher. Specific grade level and course assignment will be suited to the strengths of the teacher. I would invite you to come to campus to experience a culture made up of high quality families and staff at a momentous time in the history of the school including recently completed facility and organizational improvements. Each year, there are families attracted to the school and they therefore make the Central City area their home. It is beating the odds as a vibrant and growing community.

Core Values (Practices that guide us toward live out our mission and work toward our vision):

Nebraska Christian Schools is a place of SERVICE. We aspire to be Service Minded, Exalting of Christ, and Relationally Focused. We want our students and staff to hold a Vibrant Disposition, to embrace Innovative Practices, and take a Collaborative Approach.  When our students, staff, and stakeholders carry out these values and keep Christ at the center, it puts Nebraska Christian on a path of Excellence to the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Service Minded

The conviction of our school leadership is that the students and staff that we lead do not exist to serve us, but, rather, we are called to serve and lay our lives down for others.  By following the example of Jesus, we are devoted to finding tangible ways to love and serve one another, as well as our neighbors. We hope that all parts of Christ’s body see their role in serving in this same way.

Exalting Christ

In all things, there is one centerpiece – that is to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Whether we are in the classroom, on the ballfield, or in the theatre, we hope and pray that our actions can bring glory to God.

Relationally Focused

As we work with fellow staff, students, and families along the way, we will try to put ourselves in their shoes, always assuming that they have positive intentions, putting them before ourselves, and treating them with love and respect.

Vibrant Disposition

We expect that all of our stakeholders have a realization that the Lord has them here as a part of His sovereign plan. While we want authenticity, our energy and attitude should reflect our gratitude that they get to play a part of the mission of Nebraska Christian Schools.

Innovative Practices

The world is changing around us. As a school, it is our job to prepare our students in modern skills and practices while never removing or compromising our Biblical worldview.

Collaborative Approach

It is increasingly necessary for people to work together. Our staff must work together to effectively carry out the mission of the school. In part, our mission is to equip students to be able to lead fellow Christians and raise up workers for plentiful harvest.

Excellence
As we pursue excellence here at NC, we strive to do it for an audience of one – our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
