7-12 Science Teacher
Nebraska Christian Schools is looking for a Science Teacher who claims his/her faith to be in Jesus Christ. We are an accredited school offering a competitive wage and benefits. NCS holds a family and commuter friendly 4-day school week. Additionally, the staff and student climate combine to make for an amazing environment. Additional duties will be customized to fit the needs of the school and strengths of the individual. The certified staff member will report on all days that teachers are to report to school.

Position Responsibilities
The responsibilities of a science teacher at Nebraska Christian Schools could include the following general duties, customized for the needs of a Christian educational setting:

Plan and Deliver Lessons: Teach science courses (based on the unique strength of our Science Faculty) aligned with Nebraska Christian Schools’ curriculum and standards.

Christian Worldview Integration: Incorporate biblical principles into lessons, connecting science concepts with faith.

Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse student learning styles and abilities.

Experimentation and Labs: Develop engaging hands-on labs and experiments to promote active learning and critical thinking.

Technology Integration: Use technology and digital tools to enhance learning and engagement.

Positive Environment: Foster a Christ-centered, safe, and respectful classroom environment.

Behavior Management: Enforce classroom rules and discipline policies in a fair and effective manner.

Evaluate Progress: Create and grade assessments, including quizzes, tests, lab reports, and projects.

Feedback: Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance.

Work with Staff: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to align curriculum, share resources, and support interdisciplinary projects.

Communicate with Parents: Maintain open communication with parents about student progress and classroom activities.

Growth in Science Education: Stay current with developments in science education and integrate best practices into teaching.

Biblical Growth: Attend professional development that supports integrating faith with teaching.

Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in school activities, such as science fairs, field trips, or clubs.

School and Community Engagement: Support school events, chapels, and community initiatives as a representative of Nebraska Christian Schools.

Advisory Role: Serve as a mentor or advisor to students, guiding them spiritually, academically, and socially.
