Position Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a math teacher at Nebraska Christian Schools could include the following general duties, customized for the needs of a Christian educational setting:

  2. Mission Alignment: Support the mission of Nebraska Christian Schools by exemplifying its values in professional and personal life.

  3. Plan and Deliver Lessons: Teach math courses aligned with Nebraska Christian Schools’ curriculum and standards.

  4. Christian Worldview Integration: Incorporate Biblical principles into lessons by connecting math concepts with faith.

  5. Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse student learning styles and abilities.

  6. Mathematical Applications: Develop engaging activities and projects that demonstrate real-world applications of mathematics.

  7. Technology Integration: Use technology and digital tools to enhance learning and engagement.

  8. Positive Environment: Foster a Christ-centered, safe, and respectful classroom environment.

  9. Behavior Management: Enforce classroom rules and discipline policies in a fair and effective manner.

  10. Evaluate Progress: Create and grade assessments, including quizzes, tests, and projects.

  11. Feedback: Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance.

  12. Work with Staff: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to align curriculum, share resources, and support interdisciplinary projects.

  13. Communicate with Parents: Maintain open communication with parents about student progress and classroom activities.

  14. Growth in Math Education: Stay current with developments in math education and integrate best practices into teaching.

  15. Biblical Growth: Attend professional development that supports integrating faith with teaching.

  16. Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in school activities, such as math competitions or clubs.

  17. School and Community Engagement: Support school events, chapels, and community initiatives as a representative of Nebraska Christian Schools.

  18. Advisory Role: Serve as a mentor or advisor to students, guiding them spiritually, academically, and socially.
