Superintendent – Sandhills
Sandhills Public Schools is a consolidated system that includes the communities of Brewster, Dunning, Halsey, and Purdum. The high school building is in Dunning and the elementary school is in Halsey. The district office is in Dunning, which is located 40 miles northwest of Broken Bow, 75 miles northwest of Kearney, and 75 miles northeast of North Platte. The K-12 enrollment is approximately 85 students.
The duties of this position currently include superintendent and principal. The district is open to considering alternate administrative structures depending on the candidate’s strengths and background experience. The district is looking for applicants to do the following:
- Utilize a team approach to engage staff and support students
- Support the board in development of clear goals and expectations for all
- Proactively manage the school district budget through effective planning
- Successfully oversee two buildings while interacting with community members in all areas of the district
