Superintendent – Banner County School

NASB is facilitating a search for a Superintendent for Banner County School. The school is located in Harrisburg in western Nebraska, approximately 30 miles south of Scottsbluff/Gering. Harrisburg is the only town in Banner County. The Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area and Nature Center is on the northern border of Banner County. The area has some of the most scenic views in the state.

The district mission is to create a school in which students are heard, cared for, and valued as individuals, with access to the tools and technologies that will prepare them for success in life. They strive to develop critical-thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders who can advocate for themselves and contribute to their communities.

Banner County School is looking for a candidate to:

• Be an innovative leader who will creatively fill positions and coordinate schedules, while providing opportunities for all students
• Possess an understanding of school finance, budget, and grant funding
• Be aware of potential legislation that may affect the district
• Work with all education partners to develop a Strategic Plan to move the district forward
