Secondary English Language Arts

Morrill is halfway between Scottsbluff, NE and Torrington, WY; nestled just north of the Wildcat Hills we are close to amazing outdoor activities in 4 different states.  Morrill is growing, both the school and the town.  We have had 4 years of consecutive enrollment growth with business growth as well.  The school operates a quality birth to preschool center, making early childhood care available for all our staff and community members.

The 7-12 ELA teacher will have the opportunity partner with two other ELA teachers to shape the minds of and inspire creativity and a sense of wonder in 180 students, 7th-12th grades.  We are expanding instruction to two ELA periods for each 7th and 8th grader.  We already have two ELA teachers for 7th – 12 grades.  We are prioritizing these subjects and need another English teacher.

We are looking for a teacher that loves children; 30% of our student body is of Latino heritage; nearly 70% qualify for free or reduced lunch. We want a teacher who loves developing the character, mindset and perspective of today’s youth preparing them for their future.
