Activities/Athletic Director

Mitchell Public Schools anticipates an opening and is seeking those interested in serving in the role of Athletic/Activities Director.  This position will be responsible for organizing, managing, and running athletic and activity extracurricular events for the junior and senior high.  The AD oversees the coaches, schedules, and extracurricular events.  This position requires an individual who is detailed-oriented, understands a wide variety of extracurricular offerings for our students, and works well with a variety of people.

The AD is a key player in the administrative team and must work well as a teammate with the other administrators.  Additional duties may be assigned based on the strengths of the individual applicant (such as Dean of Students, teaching specific courses of specialty, etc.).

Additional Information

This position will begin approximately on Aug. 1, 2026 and is an 11-month contract (approximately Aug. 1 through June 30th annually).

Starting salary is based on experience and expertise as is considered Administrative in rate.  This position includes a full BCBS health insurance policy as needed by the selected applicant.
