Secondary Art Teacher
Minatare Public Schools has an opening for Secondary Art Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nebraska teaching certificate.
Minatare Public Schools operates on a 4-day calendar with 156 student days and 185 teacher contract days. Fridays are used for intentional planning and district faculty and committee meetings, freeing up time for teachers after school and during the evenings.
This position will include all secondary art classes, and may include up to 2 core classes for 6th grade.
Minatare Public Schools’ district staff utilizes a collaborative approach and employs the Danielson Framework.
Coaching opportunities are available including head football and head boys basketball.

Base salary for Minatare Public Schools for 2026-2027 is $39,500. District pays for full employee dental and health through Blue Cross Blue Shield with a $650 deductible. For plans including spouse, dependents, or family, district covers 90% of the cost with a $650/$1,300 deductible. Additionally, district will reimburse $550/$1,100 if employee reaches their deductible.
Teaching contract includes 12 Discretionary Leave days and District covers $25,000 life insurance for all employees. Additional options are available through a cafeteria plan with several vendors.
New employees report August 6, 2026 for induction; full staff reports August 10, 2026; and the first student day is August 13, 2026.
