A 4th Grade Teacher Who Can Handle Fractions and Feelings

The Vibe: In 4th grade, students are at that sweet spot: they’re finally old enough to understand sarcasm, but still young enough to think their teacher is a rockstar. Minatare Public Schools is seeking a qualified applicant for a 4th-grade elementary education teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are a Class D-2 school, which means we’re a tight-knit community where you actually get to know your kids and your colleagues.

We’re looking for someone who can lean into that “big kid” energy. If you can explain the difference between a prefix and a suffix while simultaneously helping a student find a missing pencil they had in their hand 5 seconds ago, you’re exactly who we need.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing:

  • The Learning Part: Making Nebraska history sound like an epic saga and fractions feel like a puzzle instead of a nightmare.

  • The Human Part: Building a classroom where kids feel safe to take risks and learn how to be good humans.

  • The Team Part: Joining a crew of ridiculously capable staff. You won’t be on an island here; we collaborate, we share resources, and we definitely share the coffee.

  • The “Wait, Really?” Part: Our students attend Monday through Thursday. Fridays are reserved for meetings, collaboration, and—most importantly—time for you to actually plan your lessons so you don’t have to take them home.
