Medical Lab Tech Instructor/Program Director
Medical Lab Tech Instructor/Program Director: This faculty position is responsible for managing and coordinating the Medical Lab Technician program at Mid-Plains Community College – North Platte Campus. This position will be responsible for clinical oversight, and overall responsibility for the MLT Program. This position will also have teaching responsibility and will be responsible for maintaining the program’s accreditation. MPCC is looking for someone to deliver engaging curriculum with high standards of excellence and someone that will be looking for innovative ways to take our program to the next level. This position will ideally begin in January of 2019.
About us: Mid-Plains Community College, a legislatively designated 18-county district in West- Central Nebraska, is a comprehensive, open access, public, two-year community college system that offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. MPCC consists of three main campuses, one located in McCook, Nebraska and two located in North Platte, Nebraska. Additionally, there are extended campus sites in Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine with satellite classrooms located throughout the Area. North Platte Community College is located in North Platte, Nebraska, a city of approximately 24,000 in rural southwestern Nebraska along the I-80 corridor.
Qualifications: Master’s degree, hold ASCP-BOC certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist, three years’ work experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist, and three years of teaching experience as well as knowledge of education methods and administration.
