Middle School Special Education Teacher

Wahoo Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Middle School Special Education Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. This teacher will educate students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or multiple impairments. WPS is seeking a teacher who can provide basic core content and vocational instruction while also providing inclusive opportunities for students within their least restrictive environment. Extra duty positions are available, but not required. The middle school functions in a 1:1 environment with students utilizing MacBooks and Canvas. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid teaching certificate in this area. EOE

We plan to conduct interviews early in the 2024 calendar. We encourage those with the following endorsements to apply: K-12 special education generalist or other qualified degrees to work with special education students in the above-listed capacity. The community of Wahoo is ideally located, just 25 miles west of Omaha and 25 miles north of Lincoln. The anticipated start date for this position is August 8, 2024. This position will remain open until filled.
