English Language Arts (Secondary) Teaching Position

We are a welcoming pre-school through 12th grade facility that focuses on providing excellent education for all in a community-oriented environment. Our school district is located between the tri-cities – Grand Island, Hastings, and Kearney – and is comprised of the Village of Kenesaw as well as surrounding rural areas. Our community consistently provides great support and pride in our school and offers tremendous opportunities for our students.

Kenesaw Public Schools is accepting applications for a dynamic, forward-thinking, and qualified 7-12 English Language Arts teacher. The successful candidate must have a positive attitude, desire to continue to improve their skills, and a willingness to contribute collaboratively in a Professional Learning Community. Knowledge and experience with Marzano’s Instructional Framework and familiarity with Nebraska Teacher Performance Standards is highly desired. Teaching responsibilities will include secondary level (7-12 grade) ELA classes and Speech and are dependent upon the strengths of the successful candidate. Opportunities for extra duties exist that include coaching the Speech Team and One Act plays.

Additional Information

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education (7-12) and have the appropriate certification(s) as required by NDE Rule 10. Base salary is $36,500 and we offer full family BCBS and employee dental.
