Kenesaw Public Schools is accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year for a Secondary Principal. A Nebraska Secondary 7-12 Administrative Certification is required for this position. KPS is searching for a highly motivated, caring educator with the ability to build solid relationships with all stakeholders in the community. The successful applicant will lead a staff of talented and motivated teachers in grades 7-12. Kenesaw is practicing the Marzano Instructional Model and a thorough understanding of this framework is desired. We are additionally working toward accreditation in High Reliability Schools levels 1-3, a Marzano based program. The ability to provide instructional leadership, enhance and develop programs, and support teachers with utilizing student data to design next steps in instruction are essential skills for this position. The ability to organize and work with professional learning communities is also a necessary skill set. Kenesaw is a D1/D2 school with approximately 125 student grades 7-12. The school district was rated as AQuESTT Excellent in 2018 and maintaining consistent, superior academic achievement is the goal of the district. The village is located in the center of the Tri-cities of Kearney, Hastings, and Grand Island with only a short commute to each. A competitive salary will be offered.
