Director of Food Service – Johnson County Central Public Schools (4-Day School Week Schedule)

Johnson County Central Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the Director of Food Service. Preferred applicants should have a State of Nebraska-recognized degree in an academic area related to nutrition services or a minimum of a High School Diploma (or GED) and at least three years of relevant food service experience. Credentials must meet state and federal requirements.  This position is a twelve-month, full-time position with wages based on experience, certifications, and education.  Excellent benefits are included with this position. The position will begin in May of 2024 or as agreed upon at the time of hire.

Additional Information

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Work and communicate effectively with others.

  • Monthly menu planning. 

  • Some computer skills required.
  •  Schedule and manage six or more employees at locations in Cook and Tecumseh, NE. 

  • Comply with all state and federal requirements relating to nutrition services.

  •  Complete and maintain records as required. 

  • Food preparation and serving.

  • Be able to lift 50 lb. 

  • Additional duties as needed.
