Hitchcock County High School in Trenton Nebraska is a progressive school district in Southwest Nebraska and is seeking a qualified candidate for a 9-12 Agriculture Instructor for the 2020-2021 school year to continue to grow and build a strong Ag program that has great support from the board of education, administration, and community. The District is looking for an individual that has a passion for Agriculture, wants to be a part of a strong school district, and has the personality to impact the education of students. Courses taught will take into account the skills and education of the successful candidate but would include general agriculture classes as well as FFA sponsorship which is an extra duty provision in the contract. We offer an outstanding academic program with a wide variety of curricular and extracurricular offerings. Coaching and extra-duty positions are available.
The successful candidate must hold a valid State of Nebraska Teaching Certificate in the area of Agriculture.
Start date is on or about August 10th, 2020. Hitchcock County Schools offers a competitive salary and benefit package that is commensurate with experience. The school board may offer an employment incentive to newly hired teachers. The base salary is $34,750 for the 2019-2020 school year. The district provides full family Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance with Type C dental, ten sick leave days, two professional days and three personal leave.
