AG-FFA/Industrial Tech

High Plains Community Schools is seeking a passionate, motivated, and knowledgeable person to teach Agriculture Education and or Industrial Technology at our school.   Our ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction in agricultural sciences, offer hands-on learning opportunities, and support student leadership through FFA (Future Farmers of America) programs and competitions.

The applicant(s) may be skilled in industrial technology.  Applicants will be able to provide instruction in metals, small engines, auto mechanics, woodworkings, drafting, construction, and other areas of interest.  This program can be developed and is expected to grow in areas that meet the needs of students in industrial technology.  

Attributes Needed

 

  • Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and CTE frameworks.

  • Supervise and manage FFA chapter activities and student leadership development.

  • Coordinate supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs) for students

  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners.

  • Hold students accountable and ensure learning meets a high standard.

  • Valid state teaching certification in Agriculture Education

  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills

  • Supervision of students during activities

Additional Information

The starting base salary in the 2026-27 school year is $41,600.00.  The salary schedule is 4X4.5.  The package includes all benefits, LTD, and a full insurance package.
