HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS/ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR

The Hastings Public School District is a state and Nebraska Continuous Improvement accredited PreK-12 public school system located in south-central Nebraska serving approximately 3,500 students. The District’s diverse student population mostly lives within the city of Hastings, a community of over 25,000. 

The culture of the District emphasizes exceptional student learning, collaboration, and data-driven improvement.  All administrators in the District must be collaborative, organized, committed to accountability for all, and focused upon the success of every student both within and outside the classroom. They must possess strong communication skills and have an ability to work well with students, parents, and staff. 

Hastings Public Schools is seeking a dynamic individual with prior athletic/activity director experience to lead a large Class B high school competing in the Eastern Midlands Conference.  The athletic/activities director will oversee all aspects of Hastings Senior High School’s athletics and activities programs.

A competitive salary/fringe benefit package will be provided and will depend upon the successful candidate’s qualifications.  Only applicants with a Master’s Degree or higher will be considered. Applicants must have, or be eligible for, proper administrative certification in Nebraska. Candidates with the ability to create and maintain a professional learning community culture are preferred. 

This position will be open until filled by action of the Board of Education.
