Grades 7-12 English Language Arts $1,000 hiring bonus
Guardian Angels Central Catholic is seeking a dedicated and student‑centered 7–12 English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher. This position may be filled on a full-time or part-time basis and offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment committed to academic excellence, strong communication skills, and student growth. Candidates with the ability to teach dual‑credit coursework are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Teach English Language Arts to students in grades 7–12 using effective, standards‑based instructional practices
- Design engaging lessons that promote reading comprehension, writing, research, and critical thinking
- Support diverse learners through differentiated instruction, clear learning goals, and meaningful feedback
- Implement assessments that measure student progress and guide instructional decisions
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, improve instruction, and support school goals
- Establish consistent communication with students, families, and staff
- Participate in professional development and ongoing learning
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in English Education, Secondary Education, or a related field
- Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or the ability to obtain one)
- Strong instructional, communication, and classroom‑management skills
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional growth
- Preferred: Qualifications to teach dual‑credit ELA courses
