Grades 7-12 English Language Arts $1,000 hiring bonus

Guardian Angels Central Catholic is seeking a dedicated and student‑centered 7–12 English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher. This position may be filled on a full-time or part-time basis and offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment committed to academic excellence, strong communication skills, and student growth. Candidates with the ability to teach dual‑credit coursework are strongly encouraged to apply.


What You’ll Do

  • Teach English Language Arts to students in grades 7–12 using effective, standards‑based instructional practices
  • Design engaging lessons that promote reading comprehension, writing, research, and critical thinking
  • Support diverse learners through differentiated instruction, clear learning goals, and meaningful feedback
  • Implement assessments that measure student progress and guide instructional decisions
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and organized classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, improve instruction, and support school goals
  • Establish consistent communication with students, families, and staff
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing learning

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in English Education, Secondary Education, or a related field
  • Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Strong instructional, communication, and classroom‑management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional growth
  • Preferred: Qualifications to teach dual‑credit ELA courses
